It is September 1942. The German Sixth Army has reached Stalingrad and your Soviet battalion holds five sectors of rubble, steel, and broken glass somewhere between the factory district and the Volga. Every round the Germans come. They push through your sector, up your stairwells, into your cellars. You fight back with whatever men you have left. You are always outnumbered. You are always one bad day away from collapse. And somewhere behind you, Stavka is watching...
Not One Step Back: Stalingrad is a solo Print & Play wargame where you command a Soviet battalion through the most brutal urban battle in history, fighting two wars at once... one against the Germans grinding street by street through your positions, and one against a Soviet command structure that will shoot you for losing ground they ordered you to hold.
Manage your reserves across the Volga river under Stuka attack. Commit your tanks and reserves where the line is breaking and when Stavka draws a directive demanding you weaken your own positions, or transfer men to a front that doesn't exist, decide how much that order is worth to you. Forty minutes. Not one step back. Follow impossible directives or pay the ultimate political price.
